Dr. Jessica Columbus
I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. When I was 9 years old, I decided I wanted to become a veterinarian, and my mind never changed.

I graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. I went on to Albuquerque, NM for a year to complete a small animal medicine and surgery internship.
After a short time in Wisconsin as an emergency veterinarian, I settled back home in the Upper Peninsula. I spent the next 14 years as a general practitioner in Manistique. In 2020, I launched a house call practice, seeing companion animals for routine visits, minor illness and injury, and end of life care in the comfort of their homes.

What Pet Owners Say
"Compassionate & Gentle"
Dr. Jessica provides a truly compassionate and gentle service for both pets and their owners during an incredibly difficult time. By offering in-home euthanasia, she ensures that pets can pass peacefully in a familiar and loving environment, which can be much less stressful than going to a clinic.

"The Comfort of our home"
Pets are most comfortable in their homes, so to be able to let them cross the Rainbow Bridge in the comfort of their home with a caring doctor like Dr. Columbus makes it that much better for everyone.

"Knowledgeable"
Being able to have our whole family there and in his own home was a precious moment. I wouldn’t have change a thing about it. Jess Columbus was knowledgeable and very compassionate and had a great bedside manner.
